Chris and Richard Palmer (both Hartlip, Newington and Upchurch ward), Peter MacDonald (Minster Cliffs), and Lloyd Chapman (Bobbing, Iwade and Lower Halstow) moved from Swale Independents to Reform UK in February 2025. Reform UK gained Milton Regis from Labour at a byelection on 19 December.
