Progressive Change 7, Independent 5, British Unionists 1. Mostly industrial area west of Glasgow; the divide between Roman Catholic and Protestant community in Airdrie and Coatbridge led to accusations against the former Monklands council. Also includes former steel-making centre of Ravenscraig.

Angela Campbell (Bellshill) moved from Labour to Independent in March 2024. Beth Baudo (Mossend and Holytown) moved from Progressive Change to Labour in January 2024. Labour gained a seat in Motherwell South East and Ravenscraig from the Scottish National Party on 16 November.
