Progressive Change 7, Independent 6, British Unionists 1. Mostly industrial area west of Glasgow; the divide between Roman Catholic and Protestant community in Airdrie and Coatbridge led to accusations against the former Monklands council. Also includes former steel-making centre of Ravenscraig.

Labour held seats in Fortissat, and in Mossend and Holytown, at byelections on 10 October. Bill Shields (Coatbridge North) moved from Labour to Independent in August 2024.
