Independent 1, Reform UK 1. Largest council in Scotland; historic shipbuilding on the River Clyde. Some working class parts of the city are infamously poor but give a misleading impression about the rest.
At byelections on 20 March, the Scottish National Party gained Labour seats in North East and Southside Central wards. Thomas Kerr (Shettleston) moved from Conservative to Reform UK in January 2025. Labour gained a seat in Partick East/Kelvindale from the Scottish National Party, at a byelection on 5 December.
