The Secretary of State is minded to give directions to the council to ensure it complies with Best Value Duties. Jahed Choudhury (Lansbury) moved from Aspire to Independent in November 2024; Ohid Ahmed (Lansbury) and Said Uddin Khaled (Bromley North) did so in September 2024. Kabir Hussain (Spitalfields and Banglatown) moved from Aspire to Independent in September 2024. Sabina Akhtar (Stepney Green) moved from Labour to Independent in June 2024.
