Majella Anning (Greenwich Creekside) moved from Labour to Independent in March 2025. Labour regained a seat in West Thamesmead from a Liberal Democrat defector, at a byelection on 19 December. The Conservatives gained a seat in Eltham Town and Avery Hill at a byelection on 17 October.
