Independent Group 9, unaligned Independent 3. Devon district, between Torbay and Exeter; includes Dawlish, affected by the 2014 storms, and Buckfastleigh. The largest town is Newton Abbot.

The South Devon Alliance group disbanded in November 2024; Alex Hall (Buckland and Milber) joined the Conservative group while others became Independents. Nina Jeffries (Teignmouth West) moved from Liberal Democrat to Independent in August 2024.
