Mendip South has a byelection on 2 May (held by the Liberal Democrats). Hazel Prior-Sankey (Taunton South) moved from Liberal Democrat to Independent in April 2024. The Liberal Democrats held Somerton at a byelection on 28 March. Steve Ashton (Crewkerne) moved from Conservative to Reform UK in March 2024.
