Independent 4, Rubbish Party 1. Inland from Ayr; the largest town is Kilmarnock, known for carpet manufacturing and Johnnie Walker whisky. Cumnock was home of Labour Party founder Keir Hardie for most of his life.

The Scottish National Party gained a seat from Labour in Kilmarnock North ward at a byelection on 20 February. John McGhee (Annick) moved from Labour to Independent in January 2025.
