Walsall

Walsall Independent Group 8, Independent 1, ungrouped 1. Town at the northern edge of the West Midlands, which is based on manufacturing. The residential areas of Aldridge, Darlaston and Willenhall are also included. Dave Church led a radical Labour group in the 1990s which fell foul of the national party.

Shakila Hussain (Palfrey) moved from Labour to Independent in July 2024. Bobby Bains (Aldridge Central and South) moved from Conservative to ungrouped in June 2024. Mike Bird (Pheasey Park Farm) moved from Conservative to Independent in May 2024 but returned in October 2024; Nick Gandham (Paddock) moved from Conservative to Independent in May 2024 but returned in July 2024.
