Redcar and Cleveland

Independent Group 11 (including East Cleveland Independent 1), Independent 2, non-party 1. Redcar is based on the chemicals industry; the district includes the seaside resort of Saltburn-by-the-Sea, as well as Guisborough, Loftus and the Cleveland Hills.

Kendra Evans (St Germain’s) moved from Liberal Democrat to Independent group in March 2025. Justin Thompson (Skelton East) was suspended from the Conservative group in January-March 2025. The Conservatives gained a seat from Labour at a byelection in Longbeck on 5 September.
