Liberal Party 3, Liverpool Community Independents 3, Independent 1. Seaport on the Mersey in the north-west; suffered deprivation, riots and political extremist infiltration in the 1980s but has since undergone much regeneration. Development along the shore cost it World Heritage Site status in 2021. Adopted a directly-elected Mayor in 2012 but ended the system in 2023.

Commissioners are assisting in running the council. Mirna Juarez (Much Woolton and Hunts Cross) moved from Liberal Democrat to Independent in August 2024.
