East Anglian county, said to have been the home of the working class Thatcherite Conservative but also containing a rural area in the north.

Stock has a byelection on 12 December (held by the Conservatives). Labour gained Pitsea from the Conservatives at a byelection on 4 July. Jaymey McIvor (Ongar and Rural) moved from Conservative to Independent in June 2024, to Reform UK in October 2024.
