Horwich and Blackrod First Independents 5, Farnworth and Kearsley First 3, non-aligned 1 (who sits with the Horwich and Blackrod First Independents). A large district in Greater Manchester, north-west of Manchester itself; includes Farnworth, Westhoughton and Horwich.

Horwich North has a double vacancy election on 2 May (held by Horwich and Blackrod First Independents). The Liberal Democrats gained a seat in Westhoughton North and Hunger Hill from the Conservatives on 16 November; Farnworth and Kearsley First also won a seat in Kearsley from ‘One Kearsley’.
