Independent 2 (sit in the same group as the Green Party). Rural inland Cumbria, with main towns of Kendal, Penrith and Appleby; the Lake District, and industrial towns of Barrow-in-Furness and Ulverston.

The Liberal Democrats gained a seat from the Conservatives in Kirkby Stephen and Tebay at a byelection on 31 October, and held Grange and Cartmel at a byelection on 17 October.
