Tower Hamlets: The byelection in Stepney Green ward on 11 June was won by Sabina Akhtar. Labour gain from Tower Hamlets First. As a result Labour now has a majority of councillors.
Cumbria: Greystoke and Hesket division, after the resignation of Conservative councillor Bert Richardson due to ill health. Term ends 2017.
Glasgow: Craigton ward, after the resignation of Scottish National Party councillor Iris Gibson. Term ends 2017.
Norfolk: Gorleston St Andrews division, after the disqualification of Independent councillor Matthew Smith who has pleaded guilty to submitting fraudulent nomination papers in the 2013 elections at which he was the UK Independence Party organiser. Term ends 2017.
Sandwell: Newton ward, after the resignation of Labour councillor Tony Underhill due to ill health. Term ends 2018.
Westminster: Harrow Road ward, after the resignation of Labour councillor Nilavra Mukerji. Term ends 2018.

Tendring: The byelection due in Rush Green ward will be held on 16 July.
Westminster: The byelection due in Harrow Road ward will be held on 23 July.
Wrexham: The byelection due in Llay division will be held on 16 July.
Other updates
Aberdeenshire: The Conservative-led coalition which has been running the council since 2012 has been voted out of office. Instead the leaders of the Independent and Scottish National Party groups will be co-leaders of the council, in coalition with Labour.
Tendring: The faction of the UK Independence Party which is in coalition with the Conservatives and Independents has renamed itself from ‘Tendring UKIP’ to be the Coastal Independents group.
