The latest updates on local electoral information are as follows.
Results
- Gwynedd: The byelection in Cadnant division on 2 April was won by Glyn Thomas. Labour gain from Plaid Cymru.
- Tandridge: The byelection in Whyteleafe ward on 1 April was won by David Lee. Liberal Democrat gain from Conservative.
Changes of allegiance
- Bradford: Asama Javed, who was elected for Labour in Manningham ward, has joined Respect. Shortly afterwards, four out of the five councillors originally elected for Respect but who had left the party in 2013, announced they were rejoining. They are Ishtiaq Ahmed (Manningham ward), Ruqayyah Collector (City ward), Alyas Karmani (Little Horton ward) and Faisal Khan (Bradford Moor ward).
- East Riding of Yorkshire: Mick Burchill, who was elected for the Conservative Party in Willerby and Kirk Ella ward, has joined the UK Independence Party.
- Somerset: Derek Tanswell, who was elected for the Liberal Democrats in Frome West division, has joined the UK Independence Party.
- Swale: June Garrad (Sheppey Central), who left the Conservative group last week, has now joined the UK Independence Party.

- Basingstoke and Deane: Rooksdown ward, after the resignation of Conservative councillor Karen Cherrett. Term ends 2016.
- Birmingham: Sutton New Hall ward, after the resignation of Conservative councillor Guy Roberts. Term ends 2016.
- Bolton: Heaton and Lostock ward, after the resignation of Conservative councillor Alan Rushton. Term ends 2016.
- Bolton: Westhoughton North and Chew Moor ward, after the resignation of Labour councillor Sean Harkin. Term ends 2016.
- Burnley: Hapton with Park ward, after the resignation of Labour councillor Jonathan Barker. Term ends 2016.
- Cumbria: Cartmel division, after the resignation of Liberal Democrat county councillor Roderick Wilson. Term ends 2017.
