The latest updates on local electoral information are as follows.

Results

  • Barking and Dagenham: The byelection in Northbury ward held on 28 November was won by Val Masson. Labour hold.
  • Barking and Dagenham: The byelection for two seats in Village ward held on 28 November was won by Julia Williams and Ajanta Deb-Roy. Labour hold both seats.
  • Enfield: The byelection in Jubilee ward held on 28 November was won by Ian Barnes. Labour hold.
  • Fife: The byelection in West Fife and Coastal Villages ward held on 28 November was won by Karen Beaton. Labour hold.
  • Islington: The byelection in Junction ward held on 28 November was won by James Potts. Labour hold.
  • Sheffield: The byelection in Woodhouse ward held on 28 November was won by Willis Marshall by 10 votes. Liberal Democrat gain from Labour.
  • South Gloucestershire: The byelection in Frampton Cotterell ward held on 28 November was won by David Goodwin. Liberal Democrat hold.
  • West Dunbartonshire: The byelection in Kilpatrick ward held on 28 November was won by William Rooney. Labour hold.
  • York: The byelection in Haxby and Wigginton ward held on 28 November was won by Richard Watson. Liberal Democrat hold.

  • Bath and North East Somerset: Saltford ward, after the resignation of Liberal Democrat councillor Alison Streatfeild-James. Term ends 2027.
  • Cotswold: Chesterton ward, after the resignation of Liberal Democrat councillor Roly Hughes. Term ends 2027.
  • Lincolnshire: St Giles division, after the resignation of Conservative county councillor Nicola Clarke. Her term would have ended next May so no byelection will be held.

Date for byelection

  • North Devon: The byelection due in Instow ward will be held on 9 January.
