The latest updates on local electoral information are as follows.
Results
Cumberland: The byelection in Harraby North ward held on 27 June was won by Justin McDermott. Labour hold.
Hackney: The byelection in Hoxton West ward held on 27 June was won by Ben Lucas. Labour hold.
South Tyneside: The byelection in Primrose ward held on 27 June was won by Joan Hamilton. Independent hold; the new councillor will join the South Tyneside Alliance group.
Changes of allegiance
East Suffolk: David Beavan, who was elected for the Liberal Democrats in Southwold ward, has been expelled from the party after endorsing the Green Party general election candidate, and is sitting as an Independent councillor.
Hounslow: Joanna Biddolph, who was elected for the Conservatives in Chiswick Gunnersbury ward but was suspended from the party in March, has now returned.
Pembrokeshire: John Cole, who was elected as an Independent in Merlins Bridge division, has now joined the council’s Independent group.
Renfrewshire: Will Mylet, who was elected for the Scottish National Party in Paisley East and Central ward, has left the party to sit as an Independent councillor.
Walsall: Bobby Bains, who was elected for the Conservatives in Aldridge Central and South ward, has left the party and is sitting as an ungrouped councillor.
West Sussex: Gary Markwell, who was elected for the Conservatives in Arundel and Courtwick division, has left the party to sit as an ungrouped Independent councillor; he has endorsed the Labour candidate in the general election.
Worcestershire: Two councillors have left the Conservative group to sit as Independents. They are Kyle Daisley (Bromsgrove South division) and Mike Rouse (Redditch South division). It is also noted that Beverley Nielsen (Malvern Langland division) and Tom Wells (Powick division), both of whom were elected as Independents, are sitting in the Green and Independent Alliance Group.
