The latest updates on local electoral information are as follows.
Results
- Corporation of London: At a wardmote on 31 January, Emma Edhem was re-elected unopposed as Alderman for Candlewick ward. She was nominated as an Independent candidate.
- Corporation of London: At a wardmote on 31 January, Robert Hughes-Penney was re-elected unopposed as Alderman for Cheap ward. He was nominated as an Independent candidate.
Change of allegiance
- Cambridgeshire: Jonas King, who was elected for the Conservatives in Huntingdon North and Hartford division, has left the party and is sitting as a non-aligned Independent.
- East Riding of Yorkshire: David Nolan, who was elected for the Liberal Democrats in Hessle ward, has joined the Labour Party. He had been suspended from the Liberal Democrat group after opposing the East Yorkshire devolution deal.
- Redditch: Kerrie Miles, who was elected for the Labour Party in Batchley and Brockhill ward, has joined the Liberal Democrats.
- Rotherham: Alan Atkin, who was elected for the Labour Party in Wath ward, has been suspended from the whip after falling asleep during a sensitive briefing.
- Tendring: Richard Everett, who was elected for the Conservatives in Frinton ward, has left the party and joined the Tendring Residents’ Alliance.
- West Lindsey: Paul Howitt-Cowan, who was elected as an Independent in Hemswell ward, has joined the Liberal Democrats.
New vacancies
- Cornwall: Looe West, Pelynt, Lansallos and Lanteglos division, after the death of Liberal Democrat councillor Edwina Hannaford.. Term ends 2025.
- Havant: Battins ward, after the resignation of Independent councillor Tom Moutray, who was elected for the Conservatives. His term was due to end in May so no byelection follows.
- North Kesteven: Heckington Rural ward, after the resignation of Conservative councillor Stewart Ogden. Term ends 2027.
Dates for byelections
- Bridgend: The byelection due in Aberkenfig divsion will be held on 7 March.
- Carmarthenshire: The byelection due in Elli ward will be held on Wednesday 6 March.
