- Havering: The byelection in Upminster ward held on 10 August was won by Jacqueline Williams. Upminster and Cranham Residents’ Association hold.
- Somerset: The byelection in Castle Cary division held on 10 August was won by Kevin Messenger. Liberal Democrat gain from Conservative.
- Wychavon: The byelection in Evesham South ward held on 10 August was won by Peter Knight. Green Party hold.

New vacancies
- Kingston upon Hull: Bricknell ward, after the disqualification of Labour councillor Sarah Harper-Riches who did not attend any council meetings in six months. Her disqualification has aroused complaint as she has been ill. Term ends 2026.
- South Ayrshire: Girvan and South Carrick ward, after the resignation of Scottish National Party councillor Peter Henderson. Term ends 2027.

- Colchester: The byelection due in Highwoods ward will be held on 21 September.
- Kingston upon Hull: The byelection due in Bricknell ward will be held on 21 September.
- Lancashire: The byelection due in Chorley Rural West division will be held on 14 September.
- Lincolnshire: The byelection due in Carholme division will be held on 14 September.
- Liverpool: The byelection due in Fazakerley East ward will be held on 14 September.
- Milton Keynes: The byelection due in Newport Pagnell South ward will be held on 21 September.
