Conservatives get some Kidderminster, as Ann Bryce might say

The latest updates on local electoral information are as follows.

Results

Rother: The byelection in Brede and Udimore ward held on 16 June was won by Neil Gordon. Conservative hold.
Sunderland: The postponed election in Copt Hill ward held on 16 June was won by sitting councillor Tracy Dodds. Labour hold.
Warwick: The byelection in Leamington Clarendon ward held on 16 June was won by Chris King. Labour hold.
Wyre Forest: The byelection in Franche and Habberley North ward held on 16 June was won by Ben Brookes. Conservative gain from Independent Community and Health Concern (who did not defend their seat).

East Devon: Paul Arnott, who was elected for the Independent East Devon Alliance in Coly Valley ward, has announced he has joined the Liberal Democrats nationally. He appears to be retaining his allegiance to the East Devon Alliance on the council.
Pendle: Mohammed Iqbal, who was elected for the Labour Party in Bradley ward, has left the party to sit as an Independent councillor.

Luton: Dallow ward, after the disqualification of Labour councillor Hannah Adrees who has been given a suspended prison sentence. Term ends 2023.
Newark and Sherwood: Edwinstowe and Clipstone ward, after the death of Conservative councillor Michael Brown. Term ends 2023.
Spelthorne: Laleham and Shepperton Green ward, after the death of Independent Spelthorne Group councillor and Planning committee chair Richard Smith-Ainsley. Term ends 2023.

Basildon: The byelection due in Nethermayne ward will be held on Wednesday 20 July.
Lancaster: The byelection due in Harbour ward will be held on 21 July.
Luton: The byelection due in Dallow ward will be held on 4 August.
North Warwickshire: The byelection due in Hartshill ward will be held on 21 July.
South Staffordshire: The byelection due in Penkridge North East and Acton Trussell ward will be held on 21 July.

Hyndburn: It is noted that after council leader Miles Parkinson left the Labour Party in March, he dismissed the other Labour members of the cabinet and appointed Conservative councillors. The administration is therefore an Independent/Conservative coalition.
