The latest updates on local electoral information are as follows.
Results
Breckland: The byelection in Mattishall ward held on 9 June was won by Paul Plummer. Conservative hold.
Crawley: The byelection in Southgate ward held on 9 June was won by Bob Noyce. Labour hold; in doing so the party has preserved its overall majority on the council.
Sevenoaks: The byelection in Penshurst, Fordcombe and Chiddingstone ward held on 9 June was won by Richard Streatfeild. Liberal Democrat gain from Conservative.
Spelthorne: The two unaffiliated Independent councillors have now joined party groups on the council, while remaining Independent councillors. Bob Noble (Ashford Common ward) is now in the Green Party group; Michele Gibson (Riverside and Laleham ward) is now in the Liberal Democrat group.
New vacancies
East Riding of Yorkshire: Beverley Rural ward, after the death of Conservative councillor and Vice-Chairman of the council, Pauline Greenwood. Term ends 2023.
