Dates for byelections
Buckinghamshire: The byelection due in Bernwood division will be held on 30 June.
Sheffield: At one stage it looked like the council would be left without a leader but eventually a Labour councillor was elected. The council now uses the committee system and chairs will come from Labour, the Liberal Democrats and the Green Party.
Worcester: A chaotic annual meeting saw the Green Party refuse Labour’s invitation to form a ‘progressive alliance’, and Labour refuse the offer to nominate a co-leader of the council. Accordingly the Conservatives will lead the council.
