Swale: Simon Fowle, who was elected for the Conservatives in Queenborough and Halfway ward, has left the party and is sitting as an unaligned councillor.
Thanet: Pauline Farrance and Candy Gregory, both of whom were elected for the Labour Party in Salmestone ward but left the party in January 2022 and August 2020 respectively, have now joined the Green Party.
Wakefield: Paul Stockhill, who was elected for the Conservatives in Crofton, Ryhill and Walton ward, has left the party to sit as an Independent councillor.
Warwick: Jacqui Grey, who was elected for the Conservatives in Warwick Myton and Heathcote ward, has left the party to sit as an Independent councillor.

Chelmsford: Little Baddow, Danbury and Sandon ward, after the resignation of Conservative councillor Bob Shepherd. Term ends 2023.
Epsom and Ewell: West Ewell ward, after the death of Residents’ Association of Epsom and Ewell councillor Clive Smitheram. Term ends 2023.
Middlesbrough: Berwick Hills and Pallister ward, after the resignation of Independent councillor Lee Garvey. Term ends 2023.
Milton Keynes: Woughton and Fishermead ward, after the death of Labour councillor Carol Baume. Term ends 2023.
Wyre Forest: Franche and Habberley North ward, after the resignation of Independent Community and Health Concern councillor Anna L’Huillier who is opposed to the local plan. Term ends 2023.
Dates for byelections
Chelmsford: The byelection due in Little Baddow, Danbury and Sandon ward will be held on 5 May.
Warwick: The byelection due in Leamington Clarendon ward will be held on 16 June.

Babergh: After the previous Conservative/Independent coalition fractured, a dispute over new cabinet members resulted in the formation of an Independent Conservative group by the council leader John Ward. He has now formed a ‘Rainbow’ administration with Independent Conservative, Independent, Liberal Democrat and Green members.
Neath Port Talbot: The election due on 5 May in Port Talbot division has been postponed following the death of Andrew Tutton, who had been nominated as an Independent candidate.
