The latest updates on local electoral information are as follows.
Results
- Argyll and Bute: The byelection in Kintyre and the Islands ward held on 18 July was won by Anne Horn. Scottish National Party gain from Liberal Democrat.
- Newham: The byelection in Beckton ward held on 18 July was won by Blossom Young. Labour hold.
- Newham: The byelection in Little Ilford ward held on 18 July was won by Aktharul Alam. Labour hold.
- Oxford: The byelection in Marston ward held on 18 July was won by Kate Robinson. Green Party hold.
Changes of allegiance
- Conwy: Paul Luckock, an Independent councillor for Pen-sarn Pentre Mawr division who was previously part of the Conwy First Independent group, has left the group to sit as a non-aligned councillor.
- Devon: Rob Hannaford, a former Labour councillor elected for Exwick and St Thomas division who left the party, sat as a non-aligned councillor and joined the Liberal Democrats last month, is now once again sitting as a non-aligned councillor.
- Islington: Phil Graham, who was elected for the Labour Party in Bunhill ward, has left the party to sit as an Independent councillor, following his suspension for supporting Jeremy Corbyn in the recent election.
- Maldon: Vanessa Bell, who was elected as an Independent councillor for Burnham-on-Crouch South ward, has joined the Party of Women.
- Medway: John Williams, who was elected for the Conservatives in Strood Rural ward, has joined the Independent group.
- Shropshire: David Minnery, who was elected as an Independent in Market Drayton West division, has joined the Liberal Democrats after endorsing their candidate in the general election.
- South Ayrshire: William Grant, who was elected for the Scottish National Party in Maybole, North Carrick and Coylton ward and was group leader, has left the party to sit as an Independent councillor, and apparently to support the Conservative administration. Meanwhile Stephen Ferry, who was elected for the Conservatives in Kyle ward, has left the party and is sitting as an Independent councillor.
- Surrey Heath: Sashi Mylvaganam, who was elected for the Liberal Democrats in Frimley Green ward, has left the party to sit as an Indepdendent councillor.
- Wolverhampton: Wendy Thompson, who was elected for the Conservatives in Tettenhall Wightwick ward and was leader of the group, has been suspended from the party and is sitting as an Independent councillor.
- Wrexham: Kate Wilkinson, who was elected for Plaid Cymru in Offa ward, has left the party to sit as a non-aligned councillor.
New vacancies
- Blackpool: Marton ward, after the resignation of Labour councillor Sarah Smith, now Member of Parliament for Hyndburn. Term ends 2027.
- Camden: Kentish Town South ward, after the resignation of Labour councillor Georgia Gould, now Member of Parliament for Queen’s Park and Maida Vale. Term ends 2026.
- Camden: Kilburn ward, after the resignation of Labour councillor Lloyd Hatton, now Member of Parliament for South Dorset. Term ends 2026.
- Cheshire East: Crewe West ward, after the resignation of Labour councillor Connor Naismith, now Member of Parliament for Crewe and Nantwich. Term ends 2027.
- Hackney: London Fields ward, after the resignation of Labour councillor Lee Laudat-Scott. Term ends 2026.
- North East Derbyshire: Clay Cross North ward, after the death of Labour councillor Gerry Morley. Term ends 2027.

- Hertfordshire: The byelection due in Bedwell division will be held on 29 August.
- Three Rivers: The byelection due in Abbots Langley and Bedmond ward will be held on 22 August.
- Wychavon: The byelection due in Badsey and Aldington ward will be held on 29 August.
- Wychavon: The byelection due in Harvington and Norton ward will be held on 29 August.
