Results
- Lancaster: The byelection in Castle ward held on 14 March was won by Isabella Metcalf-Riener. Green Party hold.
- Wiltshire: The byelection in Cricklade and Latton division held on 14 March was won by Nick Dye. Liberal Democrat hold.
Changes of allegiance
- Amber Valley: Amanda Paget, who was elected for the Green Party in Smalley, Shipley and Horsley Woodhouse ward, has joined the Conservative Party.
- Barnet: Laithe Jajeh, who was elected for the Conservatives in Mill Hill ward, has left the party to sit as an Independent councillor.
- Bradford: Julie Lintern, who was elected for the Labour Party in Keighley West ward, has left the party to sit as an Independent councillor.
- Bury: Tamoor Tariq, who was elected for the Labour Party in Redvales ward but suspended from the whip in January, has now returned.
- Cannock Chase: Paul Fisher, who was elected for the Liberal Democrats in Brereton and Ravenhill ward but had left the party, has now joined the Labour Party.
- Castle Point: Godfrey Isaacs, who was elected for the Conservatives in St James’ ward, has left the party to sit as an Independent councillor.
- Cheltenham: Sandra Holliday, who was elected for the Liberal Democrats in St Marks ward but left the party group in 2023, has now returned.
- Cheshire East: Laura Smith, who was elected for the Labour Party in Crewe South ward, has left the party following her suspension for voting against the budget.
- Cheshire West and Chester: Mandy Clare, who was elected as an Independent candidate in Winsford Dene ward and was sitting for ‘Winsford Salt of the Earth’, has severed her connection with it and is now sitting as a member of the Party of Women.
- Lewisham: Hau-Yu Tam, who was elected for the Labour Party in Evelyn ward but suspended from the group in January, has now returned.
- Reigate and Banstead: Zelanie Cooper, who was elected for the Conservatives in Lower Kingswood, Tadworth and Walton ward, has left the party to sit as an Independent councillor. As a result the Conservatives no longer have an overall majority.
- Kensington and Chelsea: Dahabo Isse, who was elected for the Labour Party in Colville ward, has joined the Conservative Party.
- Kent: Trevor Shonk, who was elected for the Conservatives in Ramsgate division, has joined the Thanet Independents.
- Oadby and Wigston: Michael Charlesworth, who was elected for the Liberal Democrats in Wigston All Saints ward, has left the group and is sitting as an Independent councillor.
- Redbridge: Tanweer Khan, who was elected for the Labour Party in Mayfield ward, has left the group and is sitting as an Independent councillor.
- Rotherham: Marnie Havard, who was elected for the Labour Party in Wales ward, has left the party to sit as a non-aligned councillor.
- Solihull: Stephen Rymer, who was elected for the Green Party in Chelmsley Wood ward, has left the party to sit as an Independent councillor.
- Spelthorne: Denise Saliagopoulos, who was elected as an Independent candidate in Riverside and Laleham ward, has left the Independent Spelthorne Group and is now sitting as an unaffiliated Independent and supporting the Conservatives.

- Adur: St Mary’s ward, after the resignation of Labour councillor Cat Arnold. Term ends 2026.
- Amber Valley: Crich and South Wingfield ward, after the resignation of Conservative councillor Dawn Harper. Term ends 2027.
- Basildon: Pitsea South East ward, after the death of the Mayor of Basildon Luke Mackenzie who was a Conservative councillor. As his term was due to end in May, no byelection ensues.
- Bolton: Horwich North ward, after the resignation of Horwich and Blackrod First Independents councillor Craig Rotheram. Term ends 2026.
- Bromley: Shortlands and Park Langley ward, after the resignation of Conservative councillor Aisha Cuthbert. Term ends 2026.
- Essex: Pitsea division, after the death of Conservative county councillor Luke Mackenzie. Term ends 2025.
- Hampshire: Fareham Sarisbury division, after the resignation of Conservative councillor Seán Woodward. Term ends 2025.
- Hampshire: Meon Valley division, after the resignation of Conservative councillor Hugh Lumby. Term ends 2025.
- Hounslow: Brentford West ward, after the resignation of Independent councillor Lara Parizotto, who was elected for the Labour Party. Term ends 2026.
- Huntingdonshire: Great Paxton ward, after the resignation of Conservative councillor Richard West. Term ends 2026.
- Islington: Hillrise ward, after the resignation of Labour councillor Dave Poyser. Term ends 2026.
- Lincolnshire: Park division, after the death of Labour councillor Julie Killey. Term ends 2025.
- Mole Valley: Capel, Leigh, Newdigate and Charlwood ward, after the resignation of Liberal Democrat councillor Lesley Bushnell. Term ends 2027.
