The latest updates on local electoral information are as follows.
Results
Bolton: The byelection in Kearsley ward held on 16 November was won by Tracey Wilkinson from Farnworth and Kearsley First. This is a gain from another localist group, One Kearsley.
Bolton: The byelection in Westhoughton North and Hunger Hill ward held on 16 November was won by Deirdre McGeown. Liberal Democrat gain from Conservative.
Ceredigion: The byelection in Aberystwyth Penparcau ward held on 16 November was won by Shelley Childs. Plaid Cymru regain a seat lost when the previous councillor left the party.
Doncaster: The byelection in Rossington and Bawtry ward held on 16 November was won by Ken Guest. Labour hold.
North Lanarkshire: The byelection in Motherwell South East and Ravenscraig ward held on 16 November was won by Kaye Harmon. Labour gain from Scottish National Party.
North Somerset: The byelection in Wrington ward held on 16 November was won by Thomas Daw. Green Party win a seat previously held by an Independent.
Changes of allegiance
Conwy: Cathy Augustine, who was elected for the Labour Party in Penmaenmawr division, has joined Plaid Cymru over Labour’s stance on the Middle East conflict.
Gloucester: Usman Bhaimia, who was elected for the Labour Party in Barton and Tredworth ward but left the party last month, has now joined the Liberal Democrats.
Kent: Two councillors have moved from Conservative to Independent. They are Trevor Shonk (Ramsgate division) and Linda Wright (Birchington and Rural division).
Lancashire: Yousuf Motala, who was elected for the Labour Party in Preston City division, has left the party over its stance on the Middle East conflict.
Newcastle-under-Lyme: Sue Beeston, who was elected for the Labour Party in Holditch and Chesterton ward, has left the party and is sitting as an Independent councillor.
Sandwell: Kacey Akpoteni, who was elected for the Labour Party in Hateley Heath ward, has left the party group and is sitting as a non-aligned councillor. Similarly Jay Anandou, elected for the Conservatives in Old Warley ward, has left his party group to sit as non-aligned.
Buckinghamshire: Farnham Common and Burnham Beeches division, after the resignation of Conservative councillor David Anthony. Term ends 2025.
Scottish Borders: Jedburgh and District ward, after the impending resignation of Scottish National Party councillor Pam Brown. Term ends 2027.
Stirling: Dunblane and Bridge of Allan ward, after the resignation of Conservative councillor Douglas Dodds who was also Provost. Term ends 2027.
Worthing: Heene ward, after the resignation of Labour councillor Helen Abrahams. Term ends 2027.
Date for byelection
Isle of Wight: The byelection due in Ventnor and St Lawrence division will be held on 21 December.
Other updates
Burnley: After the leader of the council left the Labour Party, he has formed a new administration of Burnley Independent Group, Green Party and Liberal Democrats.
