Cheltenham still enraged by bureaucracy

The latest updates on local electoral information are as follows.

Results

Cheltenham: The byelection in Prestbury ward held on 12 October was won by Stan Smith. People Against Bureaucracy hold.
Suffolk: The byelection in Woodbridge division held on 12 October was won by Ruth Leach. Liberal Democrat hold.

Aberdeen: Kairin van Sweeden, who was elected for the Scottish National Party in Tillydrone/Seaton/Old Aberdeen ward, has left the party to become an Independent councillor.
Dudley: Shaun Keasey, who was elected for the Conservatives in Sedgley ward, has left the party to sit as an Independent councillor.
Oxford: Two Labour councillors have left the party over its stance on Gaza. They are Shaista Aziz (Rose Hill and Iffley ward) and Dr Amar Latif (Cowley ward).
Ribble Valley: Derek Brocklehurst, who was elected for the Conservatives in Alston and Hothersall ward, has joined the Labour Party.

Bromley: Hayes and Coney Hall ward, after the death of Conservative councillor Andrew Lee. Term ends 2026.
Cambridge: Queen Ediths ward, after the resignation of Independent councillor Sam Davies. Term ends May next year.
Ceredigion: Aberystwyth Penparcau ward, after the resignation of non-aligned councillor Steve Davies, who was elected for Plaid Cymru. Term ends 2027.

Bolton: The byelection due in Kearsley ward will be held on 16 November.
Bolton: The byelection due in Westhoughton North and Hunger Hill ward will be held on 16 November.
Cambridge: The byelection due in Queen Ediths ward will be held on 23 November.
Ceredigion: The byelection due in Aberystwyth Penparcau ward will be held on 16 November.
North Somerset: The byelection due in Wrington ward will be held on 16 November.

Guildford: An attempt to remove the council leader failed this week by 15 votes to 24.
