Results

Ceredigion: The byelection in Llanfarian division held on 20 July was won by Raymond ‘Truck’ Evans. Liberal Democrat hold.
Swindon: The byelection in St Margaret and South Marston ward held on 20 July was won by Matthew Vallender. Conservative gain from Labour.
Worcester: The byelection in Nunnery ward held on 20 July was won by Elaine Willmore. Labour hold.

Hammersmith and Fulham: David Morton, who was elected for the Labour Party in Avonmore ward, has left the party group and is sitting as an Independent councillor.
North Tyneside: Val Jamieson, who was elected for the Labour Party in Killingworth ward, has left the party to sit as an Independent councillor in support of North of the Tyne Mayor Jamie Driscoll.
Northumberland: Mary Murphy, who was elected for the Labour Party in Choppingdon ward, has left the party to sit as an Independent councillor in support of North of the Tyne Mayor Jamie Driscoll.
Stroud: Nick Hurst, who was elected for the Conservatives in Minchinhanpton ward but left the party in February, has now returned to it.

Newcastle-under-Lyme: Audley ward, after the resignation of Labour councillor Sue Moffat. Term ends 2026.
North Yorkshire: Hutton Rudby and Osmortherley division, after the resignation of Conservative councillor Bridget Fortune. Term ends 2027.
Shropshire: Worfield division, after the resignation of Conservative councillor Richard Marshall. Term ends 2025.
Spelthorne: Ashford Town ward, after the resignation of Independent Green councillor Andrew McLuskey, who was elected for the Green Party. Term ends 2027.

Dudley: The byelection due in St James’s ward will be held on 24 August.
Isle of Wight: The byelection due in Wootton Bridge division will be held on 24 August.

Croydon: The Secretary of State has confirmed his intervention to intervene in the council. The council has been directed to follow the advice of an Improvement and Assurance Panel; the intervention will last until July 2025.
