Cotswold: Chris Twells, who was elected for the Liberal Democrats in Tetbury with Upton ward, has been suspended from the party and is sitting as an Independent councillor.
Fareham: Sarah Pankhurst, who was elected for the Conservative Party in Titchfield Common ward, has left the party to sit as an Independent councillor.
Salford: Chris Twells, who was elected for the Liberal Democrats in Ordsall ward, has been suspended from the party. He was also elected to Cotswold district council in May. Twells has decided to rescind his previously announced intent to resign from Salford council.
Stockport: Aron Thornley, who was elected for the Liberal Democrats in Marple South and High Lane ward, has left the party to sit as an Independent councillor.
Broadland: Late on Friday it was announced that agreement had been reached between Liberal Democrat, Labour and Green groups on a coalition to run the council.
Cherwell: The annual meeting voted to remove the Conservative administration, but no alternative administration could get a majority as the ‘Progressive Oxforshire’ (Liberal Democrat, Green and Independent) group and Labour group were not in agreement. The meeting will resume on 23 May.
Elmbridge: A Liberal Democrat leader has taken over, in continuation of the coalition of Residents’ Association councillors and Liberal Democrats.
Great Yarmouth: With support from the Independent councillors and no challenge from Labour, the Conservatives will continue to run the council as a minority administration.
