The latest updates on local electoral information are as follows.

Results

  • Corporation of London: The byelection for a Common Councilman in Castle Baynard ward was won by Malcolm Hudson, who regains the seat he held from 2009 until last March.
  • Corporation of London: The byelection for a Common Councilman in Cripplegate ward was won by Dawn Frampton.
  • North Northamptonshire: The byelection in Rushden South ward held on 23 March was won by Melanie Coleman. Conservative hold.

Changes of allegiance

New vacancies

  • Cambridge: Coleridge ward, after the resignation of Labour councillor and former council leader Lewis Herbert. Term ends 2024.
  • Cannock Chase: Cannock East ward, after the resignation of Conservative councillor John McMahon. Term ends 2024.
  • Cannock Chase: Hednesford South ward, after the resignation of Chase Community Independent councillor Paul Woodhead. Term ends 2024.
  • Gloucestershire: Highnam division, after the death of Conservative county councillor Phil Awford. Term ends 2025.
  • Kingston upon Hull: Central ward, after the resignation of Labour councillor Aneesa Akbar. Term ends 2026.
  • Lincolnshire: Eagle and Hykeham West division, after the resignation of Conservative county councillor Mike Thompson. Term ends 2025.
  • Mendip: The Pennards and Ditcheat ward, after the death of Conservative councillor John Greenhalgh. As his term would have ended when the authority is abolished next week, there will be no byelection.
  • Milton Keynes: Central Milton Keynes ward, after the resignation of Labour councillor Ben Nolan. Term ends 2024.
  • North Hertfordshire: Hitchin Walsworth ward, after the resignation of Labour councillor Kay Tart. Her term was due to end in May so she will not be replaced.
  • Nottinghamshire: Kirkby South division, after the resignation of Ashfield Independent county councillor Daniel Williamson. Term ends 2025.
  • Suffolk: Priory Heath division, after the resignation of Labour county councillor Bill Quinton. Term ends 2025.
  • Tonbridge and Malling: Medway ward, after the resignation of Conservative councillor Jon Botten. His term would have ended in May so there will be no byelection.
  • Worthing: Central ward, after the resignation of Labour councillor Jim Deen. Term ends 2026.
