East Lindsey: The byelection in Chapel St Leonards ward held on 20 January was won by Stephen Evans. Conservative hold.
East Lothian: The byelection in Preston, Seton and Gosford ward held on 20 January was won by Colin Yorkston. Labour hold.
Selby: The byelection in Byram and Brotherton ward held on 20 January was won by Georgina Ashton. Conservative gain from Yorkshire Party (who did not defend the seat).
Gwynedd: Dylan Bullard, who was elected as an Independent in Pwllheli North division and joined Propel in April 2020, has left the party to sit as an Individual member.
Newport: Chris Evans, who was elected for the Newport Independents Party in Rogerstone division, has left the party to sit as an Independent councillor, following a recent court case.
St Helens: David O’Keefe, who was elected for the Green Party in Bold ward, has left the party to sit as an Independent councillor. It is also noted that Kate Stevenson (Rainhill ward) has joined The Independents group.
South Ayrshire: Hugh Hunter, who was elected for the Conservatives in Prestwick ward, has left the party to sit as an Independent councillor.
South Ribble: Paul Wharton-Hardman, who was elected in Farington East ward as Conservative but left the party in October 2020, has joined the Labour Party.
Horsham: Denne ward, after the resignation of Liberal Democrat councillor Frances Haigh. Term ends 2023.
Ipswich: St Johns ward, after the resignation of Labour councillor Shelly Darwin. Term ends 2023.
South Ayrshire: Ayr West ward, after the resignation of Scottish National Party councillor Siobhian Brown, now Member of the Scottish Parliament for Ayr. Her term was due to end in May so no byelection will follow.
