The latest updates on local electoral information are as follows.
Results
- Calderdale: The byelection in Park ward held on 2 September was won by Mohammed Fazal. Labour hold.
- Calderdale: The byelection in Ryburn ward held on 2 September was won by Felicity Issott. Conservative gain from an Independent.
- Cheshire East: The byelection in Wilmslow Dean Row ward held on 2 September was won by Lata Anderson. Residents of Wilmslow hold.
Changes of allegiance
- Ribble Valley: Jim Rogerson, who was elected for the Conservatives in Alston and Hothersall ward but left the party in April, has now returned.
- Sunderland: The UK Independence Party group has disbanded. Pam Mann (St Anne’s ward) has joined the Conservatives, while the other two members Steven Bewick (Ryhope ward) and Keith Jenkins (Redhill ward) have formed the Wearside Independents group.
- Swale: It is noted that Padmini Nissanga, who was elected for the UK Independence Party in Sheppey East ward, joined Reform UK in April.
New vacancy
- Rushcliffe: Musters ward, after the resignation of Liberal Democrat councillor Annie Major. Term ends 2023.

- Flintshire: The byelection due in Penyffordd division will be held on 7 October.
- Harrow: The byelection due in Pinner South ward will be held on 14 October.
- Rushcliffe: The byelection due in Musters ward will be held on 7 October.
- Somerset: The byelection due in Comeytrowe and Trull division will be held on 7 October.
- Somerset West and Taunton: The byelection due in Wilton and Sherford ward will be held on 7 October.
