The latest updates on local electoral information are as follows.
Results
Camden: The byelection in Fortune Green ward held on 22 July was won by Nancy Jirira. Liberal Democrat hold.
Dover: The byelection in Alkham and Capel-le-Ferne ward held on 22 July was won by Martin Hibbert. Conservative hold.
Leicester: The byelection in Humberstone and Hamilton ward held on 22 July was won by Daniel Crewe. Conservative gain from an Independent elected for Labour.
North Somerset: The byelection in Congresbury and Puxton ward held on 22 July was won by Phil Neve. Green Party gain from the Liberal Democrats (who did not defend the seat).
Rhondda Cynon Taf: The byelection in Tyn-y-Nant division held on 22 July was won by Julie Barton. Labour hold.
Spelthorne: The byelection in Staines ward held on 22 July was won by Malcolm Beecher. Green Party hold.
Thanet: The byelection in Cliftonville East ward held on 22 July was won by Charlie Leys. Conservative hold.
Wirral: The byelection in Liscard ward held on 22 July was won by Daisy Kenny. Labour hold.
Change of allegiance
Cumbria: Sol Wielkopolski, who was elected for the Conservative Party in Newbarns and Parkside division, has left the party and is sitting as an Independent county councillor.
New vacancies
Flintshire: Penyffordd division, after the resignation of ‘New Independents’ councillor David Williams. Term ends 2022.
Somerset: Comeytrowe and Trull division, after the death of Liberal Democrat councillor Alan Wedderkopp. Term ends 2025.
