The latest updates on local electoral information are as follows.
Results
- Aberdeenshire: The byelection in East Garioch ward held on 17 June was won by David Keating. Conservative gain from Liberal Democrat.
- Kent: The deferred election in Elham Valley division held on 17 June was won by the incumbent county councillor Susan Carey. Conservative hold.
- Mid Devon: The byelection in Upper Culm ward held on 17 June was won by James Bartlett (grandson of the late councillor). Conservative hold.
- Norfolk: The deferred election in Sewell division held on 17 June was won by the incumbent county councillor Julie Brociek-Coulton. Labour hold.
- Norwich: The deferred election in Sewell ward held on 17 June was won by Gary Champion. Green Party gain from Labour.
- Somerset West and Taunton: The byelection in Old Cleeve and District held on 17 June was won by Steve Griffiths. Liberal Democrat hold.
- Tandridge: The byelection in Felbridge ward held on 17 June was won by Judy Moore. Independent gain from Conservative.
Changes of allegiance
- Bridgend: Carolyn Webster, who was elected for the Conservatives in Newcastle division, has joined the Independent Alliance group.
- Rochdale: Two former Labour councillors who were sitting as Independents have now joined the Conservative Party. They are Jacqui Beswick and Alan McCarthy, both of whom represent West Heywood ward.
- Wealden: Lin Clark, who was elected for the Conservatives in Pevensey Bay ward, has left the party to sit as an Independent councillor.
- West Lindsey: Jeff Summers, who was elected for the Conservatives in Waddingham and Spital ward but left the party in October 2019, has now returned to the party group.
- Wolverhampton: Gurmukh Singh, who was elected for the Labour Party in Spring Vale ward, has joined the Conservative Party.
- Wychavon: Mark Goodge, who was elected for the Conservatives in Badsey ward but left the group in November last year, has now returned to it.
New vacancies
- Basildon: Pitsea North West ward, after the resignation of Labour councillor and former council leader Gavin Callaghan. Term ends 2024.
- East Riding of Yorkshire: East Wolds and Coastal ward, after the death of Independent councillor Paul Lisseter who was elected as a Conservative but left the party in April. Term ends 2023.
- Highland: Wick and East Caithness ward, after the impending resignation of Independent councillor Nicola Sinclair. Term ends 2022.
- Medway: Strood North ward, after the death of Independent Conservative councillor Steve Iles, who was elected as a Conservative. Term ends 2023.
- South Tyneside: Fellgate and Hedworth ward, after the resignation of Independent councillor John Robertson. He thought better of it soon after, and intends to contest the byelection. Term ends 2023.
- Spelthorne: Staines ward, after the resignation of Green Party councillor Jan Doerfel over opposition to release of Green Belt land. Term ends 2023.
- Thanet: Cliftonville East ward, after the resignation of Conservative councillor Lesley Game, now Vice-Chairman of Kent County Council. Term ends 2023.

- Highland: The byelection due in Wick and East Caithness ward will be held on 12 August.
- Leicester: The byelection due in Humberstone and Hamilton ward will be held on 22 July.
- South Tyneside: The byelection due in Fellgate and Hedworth ward will be held on 29 July.
- Spelthorne: The byelection due in Staines ward will be held on 22 July.
- Thanet: The byelection due in Cliftonville East ward will be held on 22 July.
- Wirral: The byelection due in Liscard ward will be held on 22 July.
Other updates
- Liverpool: The Secretary of State has appointed commissioners to oversee the work of Liverpool City Council. He has also announced that the council will move to all-out elections from 2023.
- Stirling: The Conservative motion of no confidence was defeated by 11 votes to 10 with two abstentions, so the Scottish National Party/Labour coalition administration will stay.
