Edinburgh: Derek Howie, who was elected for the Scottish National Party in Liberton/Gilmerton ward, has left the party to sit as an Independent councillor.
North Warwickshire: Shelly Lebrun, who was elected for the Conservative Party in Curdworth ward, has left the party to sit as an Independent councillor.
Three Rivers: Joanna Clemens, who was elected for the Conservative Party in Moor Park and Eastbury ward, has left the party to sit as an ungrouped Independent councillor.

Dacorum: Tring Central ward, after the death of Liberal Democrat councillor John Bowden. Term ends 2023.
Hounslow: Hounslow Heath ward, after the resignation of Labour councillor Hinna Kiani. Term ends 2022.
Knowsley: St Gabriel’s ward, after the resignation of Labour councillor Dot Johnson, shortly after she was suspended from the Labour group. Term ends 2022.
Lewes: Seaford West ward, after the death of Conservative councillor Ian White. Term ends 2023.
South Gloucestershire: Frenchay and Downend ward, after the impending resignation of Conservative councillor and deputy leader Jon Hunt. Term ends 2023.
Dates for byelections
In England, all current vacancies which do not fill a term ending in 2021 will be held on 6 May 2021, the ordinary day for local elections. In Wales, all byelections will be held in a period between 1 February and 16 April 2021.
