The latest updates on local electoral information are as follows.

Results

  • Cambridge: The byelection in Petersfield ward held on 13 September was won by Kelley Green. Labour hold.
  • Charnwood: The byelection in Birstall Wanlip ward held on 13 September was won by Shona Rattray. Conservative hold.
  • Lambeth: The byelection in Coldharbour ward held on 13 September was won by Scarlett O’Hara (yes, that really is her name). Labour hold.
  • Maidstone: The byelection in Headcorn ward held on 13 September was won by Karen Chappell-Tay. Conservative hold.
  • New Forest: The byelection in Pennington ward held on 13 September was won by Andrew Gossage. Conservative hold.
  • Pembrokeshire: The byelection in Pembroke St Mary North division held on 13 September was won by Jon Harvey, who stood as an Independent candidate and gained the seat from the Conservatives.

  • Ashford: Kennington ward, after the resignation of Conservative councillor Philip Sims. Term ends 2019.
  • Hackney: Victoria ward, after the resignation of Labour councillor Alex Kuye due to ill health. Term ends 2022.
  • Hertfordshire: Three Rivers Rural division, after the resignation of Conservative county councillor Chris Hayward. Term ends 2021.
  • New Forest: Totton Central ward, after the resignation of Conservative councillor Brian Lucas. Term ends May next year.

Dates for byelections

  • Hackney: The byelection due in Victoria ward will be held on 18 October.
  • Oxfordshire: The byelection due in Iffley Fields and St Mary’s division will be held on 18 October.
