The latest updates on local electoral information are as follows.
Allerdale: The byelection in Christchurch ward on 22 September was won by Joan Ellis. Labour gain from Conservative; as a result the Labour Party now has an overall majority on Allerdale council, although the council has a coalition administration involving Labour and Independent councillors.
Cardiff: The byelection in Plasnewydd division on 20 September was won by Robin Rea. Liberal Democrat gain from Labour.
Carmarthenshire: The byelection in Cilycwm division on 22 September was won by Dafydd Tomos. Plaid Cymru take a seat previously held by an Independent councillor.
Cherwell: The byelection in Adderbury, Bloxham and Bodicote ward on 22 September was won by Andrew McHugh. Conservative hold.
Gateshead: The byelection in Chopwell and Rowlands Gill ward on 22 September was won by David Bradford. Labour hold.
North Lanarkshire: The byelection in Coatbridge North and Glenboig ward on 22 September was won by Alex McVey. Labour gain from the Scottish National Party.
North Warwickshire: The byelection in Arley and Whitacre ward on 22 September was won by Jodie Gosling. Labour gain from Conservative.
Dumfries and Galloway: Annandale North ward, after the resignation of Labour councillor Graeme Tait (who was elected as a Conservative but joined Labour in March 2014). Term ends May next year.Lancashire: Burnley Central East division, after the resignation of Labour county councillor Dr Misfar Hassan. Term ends May next year.
