The latest updates on local electoral information are as follows.
Results
- Dudley: The byelection in Kingswinford North and Wall Heath ward on 25 February was won by Edward Lawrence. Conservative hold.
- Dudley: The byelection in St James’s ward on 25 February was won by Cathryn Bayton. Labour hold.
- Richmondshire: The byelection in Catterick ward on 25 February was won by Simon Young. Conservative hold.
- Stratford-on-Avon: The byelection in Studley with Sambourne ward on 25 February was won by Hazel Wright. Liberal Democrat gain from Conservative; the outgoing councillor stood for re-election as an Independent candidate.
Changes of allegiance
- Aberdeenshire: Mark Findlater, who was elected as an Independent councillor in Troup ward, has joined the Conservative Party.
- Glasgow: Russell Robertson, who was elected for the Labour Party in East Centre ward, has joined the Scottish National Party.
New vacancies
- Allerdale: Dalton ward, after the resignation of Conservative councillor Colin Sharpe. Term ends 2019.
- Allerdale: Moss Bay ward, after the death of Labour councillor Bill Bacon. Term ends 2019.
- Castle Point: Canvey Island East ward, after the resignation of Independent councillor Colin Letchford. As his term was due to end in May, there will be no byelection.
- Craven: The byelection due in Embsay-with-Eastby ward will be held on 31 March.
- East Riding of Yorkshire: Pocklington Provincial ward, after the death of Conservative councillor Stephen Lane. Term ends 2019.
- Lancashire: Lancaster East division, after the death of Labour councillor Richard Newman-Thompson. Term ends 2017.
- Lancaster: John O’Gaunt ward, after the death of Labour councillor Richard Newman-Thompson. Term ends 2019.
- Manchester: Charlestown ward, after the resignation of Labour councillor Mark Hackett. As his term would have ended in May, there will be no byelection for a replacement.
- Redcar and Cleveland: Hutton ward, after the death of Conservative councillor Peter Spencer. Term ends 2019.

- Caerphilly: The byelection due in Moriah division will be held on 31 March.
