The latest updates on local electoral information are as follows.

Results

  • Medway: The byelection in Peninsula ward on 20 November was won by Chris Irvine, who was re-elected following his switch from Conservative to UK Independence Party.
  • Stockport: The byelection in Bramhall South and Woodford ward on 20 November was won by John McGahan. Conservative hold.
  • Swansea: The byelection in Uplands division on 20 November was won by Peter May. Independent gain from Labour.

Changes of allegiance

New vacancies

  • Bracknell Forest: Winkfield and Cranbourne ward, after the death of Alan Kendall, the Mayor of Bracknell Forest and a Conservative councillor. Term ends May next year; as the vacancy occurred within six months of the election, there will be no byelection.
  • Huntingdonshire: St Neots Priory Park ward, after the death of Conservative councillor Paula Longford. Term ends May next year.
  • Milton Keynes: Monkston ward, after the resignation of Liberal Democrat councillor Subhan Shafiq. Term ends May next year; as the vacancy occurred within six months of the election, there will be no byelection.
  • Wychavon: Badsey ward, after the death of Conservative councillor Reg Jakeman. Term ends May next year; as the vacancy occurred within six months of the election, there will be no byelection.

Dates for byelections

  • Huntingdonshire: The byelection due in St Neots Priory Park ward is being held on 27 November.
