The latest updates on local electoral information are as follows.

Results

  • Epping Forest: The byelection in Broadley Common, Epping Upland and Nazeing ward on 7 August was won by Robert Glozier. Conservative hold.
  • Huntingdonshire: The byelection in Warboys and Bury ward on 7 August was won by Angie Curtis. Conservative hold.
  • Malvern Hills: The byelection in Wells ward on 7 August was won by Chris O’Donnell. Conservative hold.
  • Stroud: The byelection in Valley ward on 7 August was won by Martin Baxendale. Green Party hold.
  • Worthing: The byelection in Castle ward on 7 August was won by Charles James. UK Independence Party gain from Liberal Democrat.

  • Carlisle: The byelection due in Castle ward will take place on 11 September.
  • Cumbria: The byelection due in Castle division will take place on 11 September.
  • Durham: The byelection due in Crook division will take place on 18 September.
  • Newham: The byelection due in Beckton ward will be held on 11 September.
  • Oxford: The byelection due in Quarry and Risinghurst ward will be held on 18 September.

Other updates

  • Calderdale: The minority Labour administration was voted out of office at the end of July, and a Conservative leader elected. He has formed a cabinet consisting of Conservatives and the sole Independent councillor.
