Two byelections on Thursday 24 April showed no change on their previous allegiances. In Hinckley Castle ward of Hinckley and Bosworth borough council, the Liberal Democrats held their seat, while the Conservatives held on to Little Stour and Ashstone ward of Dover district council. Neither authority has elections on 1 May.
