The Liberal Party candidate Graham Ballinger easily retained his party’s hold on the Kidderminster St Chad’s seat in a byelection last night to Worcestershire county council. The vacancy was caused by the death of longtime Liberal councillor Mike Oborski. Note that Oborski was a pillar of the Liberal Party which consisted of those members who refused to merge with the SDP in 1988.
