David Harper (Chesterton) moved from UK Independence Party to Independent in February 2018. The Conservatives gained Newchapel from Labour on 14 December. The Conservatives took over from Labour running the council in December 2017. Ken Owen (Holditch) moved from UK Independence Party to the Borough Independent Group in September 2017.
