West Oxfordshire: The byelection in Hailey, Minster Lovell and Leafield ward on 9 March was won by Kieran Mullins. Liberal Democrat gain from Conservative.
Pendle: Nawaz Ahmed, who was elected for the Labour Party in Brierfield ward but left the party in February, has now joined the Conservative Party. His move confirms that the Labour/Liberal Democrat coalition has no overall majority, and that the only British National Party councillor in the country now holds the balance of power.

Richmondshire: Reeth and Arkengathdale ward, after the death of Independent councillor Richard Beal. Term ends 2019.
South Somerset: Blackmoor Vale ward, after the death of Conservative councillor Tim Inglefield. Term ends 2019. As a result of his death the Liberal Democrats now have an overall majority on the council.
Stafford: Highfields and Western Downs ward, after the resignation of Labour councillor Maureen Bowen. Term ends 2019.
